Being from small town Indiana I have always loved experiencing new cultures, trying new
foods, and seeing what the world has to offer. Starting at a young age I was very fortunate to be able to travel and begin my journey of seeing the world. At 15 I had already been to 12 countries and 17 states. This only piqued my interest in traveling.
After graduating from Indiana University in 2018 I packed my bags and moved to Chicago, IL where I was starting my career as a technology consultant. When accepting the job, they told me I would be traveling 80% of the time. To a girl who loves to travel this was right up my ally. To my surprise I ended up spending the first year on a local client and exploring the city I was now calling home. Towards the end of the first year I remember driving to work one morning and looking up to see all the airplanes heading into O’Hare and thinking “Ok, put me on an airplane”. A couple of weeks later I was switching projects and was about to embark on a year of solo trips, weekend getaways, “international work trips” and so much more.
Fast forward three years and I have traveled all ends of the continental U.S. for work and for fun. I have loved all my travels so much that this summer I decided to not re-sign a lease in Chicago, pack up my apartment and hit the road. I will be spending the next year hopping around the States for a month at a time to find the next place I will call Home!
This brings me to why I decided to start a blog. Over the last year I have been throwing around the idea of starting a blog to share my travels: from the restaurants I find, to the work travel hacks I have discovered. I finally took the leap and here we are. I can’t wait to take you all along with me!
